Если не используется, то не должна. Только вот libtool не знает,
используется она или нет. Поэтому для верности включает все
зависимые библиотеки (ведь часто бывают случаи, когда базовые
библиотеки используются через слой middleware, который
возвращает структуры базовых библиотек).
Только и всего, что касается неоправданной агрессии против
libtool. :-)
Я же не агитирую за возвращение файлов *.la, я просто
рассказываю, почему они присутствуют в пакетах других
дистрибутивов.
