Цифровое кольцо

Между Россией, США и КНР подписано соглашение о создании глобального
информационного кольца с пропускной способностью 10 Гбит/с. Сторонами
этого соглашения выступили Национальный научный фонд США (National
Science Foundation), Академия наук Китая, Российский научный центр
"Курчатовский институт" и Российская Академия Наук. Глобальное
информационное кольцо с пропускной способностью 10 Гбит/с создается
для научных и образовательных целей. Оно будет построено на технологии
grid и объединит вычислительные мощности и базы данных. Новая сеть с
пропускной способностью 10 Гбит/с позволит трем странам обмениваться
между собой "компьютерной энергией" - потоками данных.
