Hi all!
Не мудрствуя лукаво, опишу ситуацию полностью
При подъеме ppp-соединения из if-up.local стартует fetchmail. Для того,
чтоб видно было, когда почта кончилось там написано:
fetchmail -f /etc/fetchmailrc > /tmp/fetch.log
И когда хочется, сооружается "мониторчик":
tail -f /tmp/fetch.log
и вроде бы все в порядке, на эту команду есть даже ярлычок в иксах, но
хочется чего-нибудь красивого.
В муках было принято решение написать морду...
А теперь вопрос:
Есть ли какой-нибудь другой способ "следить" за файлом без использования
tail? Например через FIFO...
P.S. Язык, скорее всего python, GUI - wxGTK
