Stefan Esser из e-matters GmbH обнаружил уязвимость в широко
распространённой программе Fetchmail. Найденная ошибка (heap overflow)
может быть использована потенциальным удалённым злоумышленником для
организации атак на fetchmail, от отказов в обслуживании до получения
контроля над процессом, выполняющимся с правами (как правило,
непривилегированного) пользователя, запустившего fetchmail.

Мы рекомендуем всем пользователям fetchmail произвести обновление до версий
пакетов, в которых указанные уязвимости исправлены.
