Пишу в эту рассылку, поскольку стучание в багзиллу и к буржуйским
разработчикам оказалось неэффективным.
Вобщем, баг заключается в следущем: при открытии каталога или файла с
кирилическим именем по протоколу smb выскакивает ошибка что файл или папка не
существует. В konqueror из kde 3 все работает как часы.
Кодировки в samba.conf настроены правильно.
По этому поводу можно услышать можно много плачей на linuxforum.ru и на других
форумах пользователей linux.

Баг проверен на кде 4.1.3 и более ранних версиях кде 4, как дела в svn обстоят
не знаю.
Надеюсь это письмо поможет в разрешении проблемы
