Вы же хотите запросить какую-то новую возможность в KDE?
Все ошибки _и пожелания_ собираются на bugs.kde.org.
Скорее всего, вы об этом:

(довольно старое). И вообще поищите по ключевому слову
"symlink" в базе трекера.
