стоп. давайте определимся. Имеет ли слово View одно значение и в меню и в архитектуре
"A view generally is a widget that displays the data of a document and provides methods to manipulate the document contents."
т.е. в случае текстового редактора - это та самая белая часть окна, в которой выводится редактируемый текст, который можно изменять как клавиатурой, так и мышкой (выделение, перетаскивание, ...).
Если нет, то нужно использовать другой термин, например
отображение
представление
основной элемент
элемент содержания
и т.д.
Если да, тогда другое дело.
