У меня сейчас стоит аппаратный PCI модем (что-то в пределах
800-1000). Выбрал его исключительно потому, что люценты когда
заводятся замораживают систему на секунду-две, и зная что буду при
этом выходить из себя :)
А благодаря FAQ и LiveCD выбрал люцент, который заработал без
телодвижений вообще (насколько помню) и ныне благополучно работает у
товарища на подопечном линуксе.
