Тут, по ряду причин, я завязан на Асус. Для "обычных" компьютеров меня
это устраивает, а с серверами совсем опыта нет.

Или это имеется в виду, что просто есть драйвер под этот Intel? ICH7R
RAID от LSI MegaRAID? И последнюю строку я как-то не совсем понимаю,
вроде все слова понятны, а смысл ускользает: если опустить про windows,
получаем "поддержку software RAID 0, 1, 10, 5 для не-RAID Linux". Что
такое "non-RAID Linux"? И если он "non-RAID", то какая и зачем ему тогда
"поддержка software RAID"?
Может это и не так всё плохо: народ из Асус утверждает, что RedHat и
SuSe нормально ставятся. Вот дождусь ALD4 из Линуксцентра и пойду
экспериментировать...
