Имеется не очень новая мамка на via686 (Dual PIII).
На ней набортный АТА-100 контроллер и два винта на разных шлейфах:
PDC20265: chipset revision 2
PDC20265: 100% native mode on irq 18
PDC20265: (U)DMA Burst Bit ENABLED Primary MASTER Mode Secondary MASTER
Mode.
ide2: BM-DMA at 0xb800-0xb807, BIOS settings: hde:pio, hdf:pio
ide3: BM-DMA at 0xb808-0xb80f, BIOS settings: hdg:pio, hdh:pio
Probing IDE interface ide2...
hde: ST3200822A, ATA DISK drive
ide2 at 0xa800-0xa807,0xac02 on irq 18

hdg: ST3120024A, ATA DISK drive
Винты работают как-то не очень быстро:
[root@threebears root]# hdparm -t /dev/hde
/dev/hde:
Timing buffered disk reads: 60 MB in 3.01 seconds = 19.93 MB/sec
[root@threebears root]# hdparm -T /dev/hde
[root@threebears root]# hdparm -t /dev/hdg
/dev/hdg:
Timing buffered disk reads: 54 MB in 3.06 seconds = 17.63 MB/sec
А при копировании с винта на винт 7-12Мб/с (по данным mc).
Это нормальная скорость? Вроде как побыстрее должно быть.
