Доброго времени суток.
Имеется старенький ноутбук Toshiba satellite pro 490xcdt. При установке
инсталятор идет в графическом режиме без проблем. Но вот Х-ы потом...
Видеоадаптер определяет вроде правильно (S3 Virge/MX). Но при попытке
запустить Xы система виснет наглухо. Помагает лишь питание. При этом
текстовая часть загрузки после запуска startx проскакивает нормально, а
далее черный экран, только сверху Альтовый сплэшскрин висит. И все.
В /var/log/XFree86.0.log последняя строка следующая:
(II) LoadModule: "extmod"
Система АЛМ2.4 Хы 4ые.
Что можно предпринять, чтобы заставить x-ы работать?

ЗЫ: Не знаю точно куда это, поэтому шлю и в community@ и в hardware@.
