Hello, hardware!
Купил новую машину под сервер, начал ставить ALT Master 2.2
Загружаюсь с CD и после инициализация устройств заканчивается
сообщением "Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on XX:YY"
Номера не помню уже.
Ставил на свежекупленый (неотформатированый и не разбитый)
потом пытался на отформатированые разными файловыми системами (NTFS, FAT32, Ext2) ставить - тоже самое. Промучился и пришлось Вин 2003
поставить чтобы простоя в работе небыло.
Железо.

Винчестер 120Gb Samsung SASP1213N 7200/ U133/ 8MB (IDE)
Процессор Intel Pentium 4 2800MHz/ 800/ 1MB/ Prescott/ s478/ BOX
Модуль памяти 2 х DDR-400 256Mb/ двухканальный режим
В чем может быть проблема? Может этот дистрибутив не поддержывает такие большие объемы дисков?
Помогите решить вопрос с установкой, не хочу оставаться на Вин2003
П.С. диск стоит на первом IDE в режиме мастер
CDRom на втором IDE как "слэйв"
Дисковода вообще нет и в биосе отключен
