Хуже по одной причине - дополнительные 30-40 см проводов --> дополнительное
сопротивление --> падение напряжения питания.
Я себе переделывал "карман" USB-SATA под ноутбучные винты: взял толстый провод
с разъемом usb (от какого-то мертвого сканера) и впаял напрямую на плату
контроллера в этом "кармане" (убрал разъем питания и переключатель
питания "Ext - Usb"). А до этого экспериментировал с разными готовыми
шнурочками mini-usb. При напряжении 4.6v многие винты уже не могли нормально
раскрутиться. На самом разъеме USB на матери были честные 5v, до 0.4v падало
на шнурке. Так что для себя решил просто - пусть не так красиво, но надежно.
