Ставлю Audio-CD. Смотрю, что там есть:

Всё работает. Это на:

$ uname -a
Linux debian 2.6.18-4-k7 #1 SMP Mon Mar 26 17:57:15 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

А вообще, привод точно рабочий? Остальное хоть работает: диски с
данными, DVD-Video, запись дисков -- проблем нет?

Если на том же компе есть Win -- проигрываются ли там Audio-CD? Если
да, то, может, попробовать какой Live-CD (Knoppix, Puppy, etc) -- как
там будет?
