Да, Ваша правда :-) Загрузился с диска, всё нормально, даже
широкий монитор и разрешение сразу установилось 1440х900. Звука
не было, но там микшер в 0 был выставлен и там наверное
повозиться придётся, там Азалия контроллеры всякие и HDMI звук
может надо будет повозиться ; lspci показал только неизвестных
3910 хост контроллер, 3912 PCI контроллер и 391с AGP device.
Последнее по идее должно вылечиться установкой АТИшных дров. А
так очень порадовало.
