Надо играться с версиями xorg-x11-drv-ati - с какой-то версии там реально
появились страшные тормоза (когда они "улучшили" EXA). Можете показать
содержимое /var/log/Xorg.log.0 и список пакетов xorg'а (rpm -qa|egrep
"^(xorg\-x11|libxorg))"?
