тогда хватит dri драйверов и xorg из сизифа или xorg из branch-3.0 и
fglrx. Плюсы и недостатки обеих вариантов:
- DRI/radeon:
+ поддерживает 3D (с разной степерью кривости) почти на всех чипах ATI
(от mach64 до R300)
+ работает с новым xorg
+ работает с fbdev/radeonfb
+ работает с swsusp2
+ работает на x86-64
+ неполная поддержка TV-out,
зато практически на всех чипах R100/R200 + поддержка TV-in
(mach64/R100/R200/R300?), конфигурялка консольная
- без libtxn нет поддержки s3tc -> не увидеть красивой графики во многих
играх
- нет поддержки ATI_vertex_shader -> не поиграть нормально в doom3/ut2k3
(в той версии, что в Сизифе)
- нет поддержки PCIE (в той версии, что в Сизифе)
- fglrx:
+ работает с swsusp2 (вроде бы если использовать vbetool)
+ работает на x86-64 (вроде бы)
+ есть аппаратная (не программная!) поддержка s3tc и ATI_vertex_shader
+ поддерживает PCIE
+ поддерживает TV-out, но только для чипов >= R200, конфигурялка
графическая
- поддерживает чипы >= R200
- не работает с новым xorg
- не работает с fbdev/radeonfb
- глючит с некоторым железом (agp bridge)
- глючит DGA
- нет поддержки TV-in
