K3b читает и записывает на этом приводе весьма шустро...

В самом деле, что "ну и?" Чем это Вас напугало? Мне K3b сообщает,
что максимальная скорость записи 20, и что из этого? Дык эта цифра в
него(K3b) забита... А nero откуда цифры берёт? Тоже забиты в базу...

Так попробуйте записать на разных матрицах, а потом делайте выводы...
