Добавь в строку загрузки ядра параметр ide0=ata66 ide1=ata66
Я юзаю grub, и в моём случае это выглядит так:
# cat /boot/grub/menu.lst | grep ide0
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1 ide0=ata66 ide1=ata66 vga=794
В lilo чуть иначе, а как именно, лень вспоминать.
