С R50p у меня были серьёзные проблемы (после suspend ноут увозил в
сервис-центр). Игрался на 2.6. Но, как я в последствии выяснил, столь
крутые глюки лишь если он засыпает сидя в доке. Без дока он тоже умирает,
но его можно как-то резетнуть (первые два раза мне мать в буке целиком
меняли).
Да, делалось штатными средствами без новых супер-пупер патчей. Просто echo
mem > /sys/power/state.
С MaxSelect HammerWide проблем никаких. Если не считать что он дико
шумный, и с кривым BIOS'ом. То есть рулилок кулером никуда не выведено
(под Linux управлять нельзя), а в режиме powersave он вентилятор каждые
несколько минут просто включает на полные обороты. Усыплять я его не
пробовал.
В целом -- IBM вне конкуренции, если есть деньги. Идеальная клавиатура,
сбалансированая конфигурация, всё что есть сделано действитльно хорошо.
Если денег на IBM нет, то MaxSelect. Потому как их цена/производительность
мне очень нравится.
За <2k$ IMHO наилучший выбор это IBM T40. T-серия это всё-таки не R.
Особенно если брать 14" модели. Компактные, надёжные, удобные.
