Ну, работа с termios вряд ли уложится в пять строк... а вот что мешает
засунуть настройку порта в тот же демон на perl - непонятно (perldoc
POSIX; /Termios).

setserial предназначен для других целей - им выполняется настройка
параметров аппаратуры (port/irq/...). А в данном случае нужен stty.
