К LSI можно купить BBU (грубо говоря батарейку для кэша), это позволит без
страха потерять данные включить на контроллере кэширование записи. Если
хочется использовать RAID5, например, то это даст заметное увеличение
производительности.

У меня есть в хозяйстве двухголовый оптерон на матери от Tyan. Вроде всё с
ним нормально. На нём стоит MegaRaid. Такая лапочка...
