Та ототж. Я решил проблему следующим образом - перешёл на SuSE 9.1, и
при установке выбрал VESA Famebuffer. Похоже, что дрова для ATI
малость горбатые. Дома - MX400 - без проблем, Radeon 9600Ultra - без
OpenGL. Грустно...

На дефолтном. Хотя для меня более актуальная проблема была
неработающая радиоезернетина.
