У меня в INCOMING/ лежит три пустых пакета -- не надо пугаться: это так
и задумано. Благодаря ним apt-get dist-upgrade хорошо обрабатывает
переименованные пакеты imap{,-devel} и auctex (все проходит гладко --
это протетестировано).
Каждый из этих пустых пакетов имеет старое имя и requires пакет с
новым именем (который в свою очередь obsoletes пакет со старым именем).
Мне в данных случаях (в отличие от случаев с {lib,}name-devel) такая
схема понравилась больше, чем стандартная Obsoletes-Provides, потому что
я не хотел, чтобы старое (плохое) имя упомяналось в Provides нового
пакета.
Эти переходные пустые пакеты нужны только в Сизифе, в дистрибутивы их
класть не надо. В результате пространство имен пакетов в дистрибутивах
не будет засорено старыми именами, указанными в Provides некоторых
пакетов с новыми именами.
