Все остальные дистрибутивы для этого специально заморачивались.
У них:
- X стартуют на tty1
- модифицированы gdm, kdm. (как минимум они стартуют на tty1 и
пытаются убить plymouth самостоятельно, а не через init-скрипт)
- gdm, kdm стартуют X с параметром -nr (кажется так - пишу по памяти)
