Т.е.? ping <ip хост-системы> изнутри VE.

Ну, если на каком-то из интерфейсов назначен этот IP - то да,
тогда на 192.0.2.1 . Хотя, это белый американский IP.

IP VE - из диапазона локальной сети?
net.ipv4.conf.default.proxy_arp включен?
