Привет!
Я с одним человеком познакомился (на #debian-devel), он ведет проект
GNUpdate (http://www.gnupdate.org/). Эты штука умеет работать с разными
форматами пакетов. У нее есть некоторая избыточная база данных, чтобы
работать все форматы. Еще у нее есть много ненужных для нее вещей, которые
в некотором роде полезны, но IMO должны быть реализованы в других
программах (например, она может выполнять роль apt и запрашивать пакеты
от postgres, если я не ошибаюсь, какие пакеты есть в дистрибутиве и откуда
их качать). Вобщем-то все.
