Артем, гиту соврешенно наплевать на кодировки блобов. И git-mv на
самом деле не делает то же самое, что svn mv ;) Просто в гите
отслеживается история на уровне деревьев, а не на уровне отдельных
файлов.
P.S. почитай man git до конца. Там все описано.
