Попробую угадать, откуда у ldv@ появилось желание ;-)
Если в рамках следующей ветки дистрибутивов ALT Linux планируется
больше, чем один дистрибутив, то выпуск дистрибутивов будет разнесён во
времени на некоторый промежуток, в течение которого желательно
сохранение двоичной совместимости всех дистрибутивов ветки. Этого можно
достичь, удерживая Sisyphus в "немного охлаждённом" состоянии (не полный
freeze, а мораторий на обновления пакетов, содержащие soname change).
А так как и ветка 2.4 уже завершена, и текущий Sisyphus уже двоично
несовместим с ALM 2.4, и ветка 3.0 ещё не начата, то для gcc 3.4 самое
время.
