Обнаружилась небольшая проблема с latexmxk. Теперь он входит
в texlive-collection-basic-2017-alt2_2.noarch вместо отдельного
пакета latexmk. (Это временное решения для промежуточного релиза
или так теперь и будет?)
В новом пакете исполняемый файл лежит вне стандарных путей
исполнения:
/usr/share/texmf-dist/scripts/latexmk/latexmk.pl
Вылечил посредством:
ln -s /usr/share/texmf-dist/scripts/latexmk/latexmk.pl /usr/bin/latexmk
Неплохо бы это зафиксировать.
