Ну не в качестве же штатного. Это если даже загрузиться
с CD/DVD/USB/сети объективно не судьба.
Вообще мысля делать "в сторонку" для текущего загружаемого
по умолчанию ядра более толстый initrd (правда, я скорее думал
про стораджевые ядерные модули, чтоб легче переживать смену
контроллера дисков) и вписывать его как initrd-failsafe.img
уже приходила, но ничего не застав, ушла.
Может, мне тогда хотя бы на mkinitrd хотелку повесить?
