Согласен, но мне казалось что речь идёт про устаревшие пакеты,
которые уже никуда не собираются, и смысла копаться в их истории
нет.
Впрочем, я так понимаю, что каждый для себя сам выберет, как
поступать со старыми репозиториями.
P.S.
У нас bisect смешно прыгает между ветками, если в репозитории
несколько веток :)
