Не знаю, как в этом случае, но есть подозрение, что широчайшие
возможности настройки PPTP (в т.ч. кривой) приводят к тому, что
без дополнительных маршрутов и сам VPN gw может оказаться
недостижимым (http://wiki.sisyphus.ru/admin/etcnet#vpn),
и вроде как DNS-ы или другие ресурсы могут оказаться.
