Не помню, чтобы был приличный фриз. Были ползучие "заморозки" со
всеми вытекающими. Кроме того, это как раз пример, почему не стоит
делать "фриз под дистрибутив", а надо, наоборот "дистрибутив под фриз".
Впрочем, тема другого разговора.

Безусловно. Речь идёт только о том, насколько сам релиз должен быть
"дистрибутивен" в смысле логического соответствия всего и вся, пускай и
не супернового, зато оттестированного, или же, напротив, в первую
очередь синхронизированный с upstream, непротиворечивый и
работоспособный, пускай оттестированный только полутора месяцами
подготовки релиза. Впрочем, и это уже детали.
