Yes, this is apparently so. As recent Test::More releases are not quite wide-spread, portability issues can be laid aside until the next PDL release. However, my new test, t/segfault.t, has nothing in common with portability issues: it simply demonstrates a segmentation fault, the thing that normally should never happen.
