Заметив, что в Sisyphus обновился nvidia_glx_common, пошел читать
release highlights; привожу | grep Fixed

# Fixed problem that caused some AGP kernel module options to be
  ignored.
# Fixed problem in GLSL with shadow2DProj.
# Fixed console restore problems on GeForce4 Ti. (!)

Возможно, последнее относится и к проблеме с FB на MX440 у zerg@,
меня и многих других пользователей.

PS: ну почему они делают такие выпуски как раз перед нашими?..
