IMHO:
- размер (порой жизненно; может быть полезно при формировании
дистрибутивов, e.g. Sisyphus/i586 на 1DVD [4.7G] уже хорошо не
умещается :-)
- специфика (#include <stdrant.h> ;) вроде "свежепоступивший".
Других востребованных, но неучтенных -- не припомню.

Не уверен, что оправданно. Довольно много головняка с обеих
сторон, и все равно незамкнутое решение (по зависимостям пакетов,
представленных в .buildreq). А эмулировать apt на симлинках --
это немного сильно :-)
