soname - внутреннее имя библиотеки.
Разделять нужно по одной причине - эти библиотеки собираются немножко по
разному в зависимости от "сборки с KDE и сборки без KDE". Соответственно
выход пожалуй именно в разных libname && soname. Займусь на выходных, к
понедельнику изображу.
