Приветствую!
В Daedalus выложен обновлённый пакет alternatives.
Новое:
+ новая архитектура, сочетающая старую схему и схему аналогичную
update_menus: как следствие легкость обработки конфигурационных файлов и
точность обновления (не возникает промежутков с висячими ссылками)
+ дополнительные проверки целостности, например, на несовпадающие
slaves, "висячие" ручные альтернативы и т.д.
+ возможность сосуществования со старой версией альтернатив и как
следствие возможность постепенного перехода Сизифа на новую версию,
корректное обновление.
+ блокировки во избежание одновременной работы двух update-alternatives
+ отдельная библиотека позволит сторонним программам (конфигураторам?)
читать/редактировать базу
данных альтернатив.
пока имеются следующие утилиты:
alternatives-list - просмотр текущего состояния
alternatives-update - одновление ссылок
alternatives-setup - перенастройка базы (выставление автоматического
режима)
а также (это в первую очередь для пакетов):
alternatives - регистрация/удаление очередного кандидата (в будущем
возможно "комбайн" для первых трех утилит)
alternatives-helper - скрипт объединяющий alternatives и
alternatives-update, прежде всего для макросов в rpm пакетах.
в пакете есть README, в devel части библиотеки макросы для использования
в rpm-пакетах
