Thanks to the OSCOM cooperation, there are now two cross-platform OpenSource WYSIWYG content editors available. Both of these work with XML/XSLT, and so would be mostly useful to those creating their own custom admin interfaces to Midgard. Bitflux Editor: Toolbar-based editor running on Mozilla http://www.bitfluxeditor.org/ Xopus Very cool 'true WYSIWYG' editor for MSIE and Mozilla http://www.xopus.org/ The way I would implement XSLT handling in Midgard would be to save actual content as XML to articles and then save the XSLT-generated HTML (or whatever) as blobs named after the stylesheet used. The web site end of the system would then display the appropriate blob instead of the article content. We would just need a XSLT processor that could be either called from the command line or through a PHP API. BTW. If someone is interested in starting a CMS project based on this and MidCOM or regular Midgard, let me know. I would definitely be interested in participating. The experience coming from demoing Nadmin to over thousand companies has given some view on what organizations are currently looking for in CMS :-) /Bergie -- Henri Bergius Henri.Bergius@nemein.com Consultant Partner Tel: +358-20-198 6032 Nemein Oy http://www.nemein.com/ OSCOM - Open Source Content Management Conference September 25th - 27th 2002, Berkeley, California http://www.oscom.org/conferences/berkeley2002/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: user-unsubscribe@midgard-project.org For additional commands, e-mail: user-help@midgard-project.org ----- End forwarded message ----- -- / Alexander Bokovoy --- Q: What do you call a half-dozen Indians with Asian flu?
