смотрите:
apt-cache whatdepends libdbus-glib | wc -l
355
Великое множество пакетов использует эту библиотеку. Причём успешно
собираются с тем, что есть. Мой совет: взять любой из этих пакетов
(лучше выбрать с версией > 1.0) и поучиться, как там собираются эти
программы.
