А вы пробовали использовать apt-get? А вообще, советую ставить пакеты из
вашего дистра, а не из сизифа. Не стоит начинать с нестабильной ветки
разработки, да к тому же не совместимой ни с одним дистрибуивом.
А вообще, надо в community@ перебираться.
PS: Советую почитать архивы community@, sisyphus@, devel@.
Hint: Для сборки из исходников надо ставить -devel пакеты.
