I was encountering some read errors while ripping dvd's under 2.6.3-ck2 which I thought were the result of dirty discs. Turns out the ide-cd.ko module didn't have DMA capabilities yet. Hopefully this patch will make it into the next release of the kernel. Jans Axboe wrote it. It works for me, maybe it'll help others. I've mirrored it here: http://lakedaemon.netmindz.net/kernel-2.6.4-patches/ For those of you who may have been trying to check up on the latest version of dvd9to5 in the past week or so, the server had some problems, and it had to be re-setup. My apologies. I'm working on the next release of dvd9to5 (v0.1.6), but most of my time has been sucked up bringing myself up to speed on 2.6.x/udev . Cooper. PS - Hope this isn't considered OT :) _______________________________________________ transcode-users mailing list transcode-users@exit1.org http://lists.exit1.org/mailman/listinfo/transcode-users ----- End forwarded message ----- -- WBR, Konstantin chat with ==>ICQ: 109916175 Lepikhov, speak to ==>JID: lakostis@jabber.org aka L.A.
