В /incoming/Sisyphus/BTE залиты драйвера для беспроводных адаптеров на
базе чипсетов от Atheros (www.atheros.com). Atheros финансирует разработку
драйвером для Linux и BSD в рамках проекта madwifi.sf.net.
Особенность этих чипсетов состоит в том, что практически все новые
продукты с поддержкой 802.11a/b/g сделаны на них. Это касается D-Link,
Linksys, Netgear, Samsung, Panasonic и многих других. Все новые
двух- и трехрежимные карты (802.11a/g, 802.11b/g, 802.11a/b/g) построены
на этих чисетах, как и новые высокоскоростные точки доступа и беспроводные
маршрутизаторы.
Драйвера проверены в напряженной работе в течение недели на CIFS 2003
Conference & Plugfest на карточке D-Link DWL-AG650 (802.11a/b/g) в
различными точками доступа 802.11b. Есть также возможность проверить их
работоспособность с 802.11g, но это уже по приезду назад в Минск, через 10
часов я вылетаю домой.
