Здравствуйте.
Основные эксперименты происходят в ветках, которые никак не
созреют для публикации (и то небыстро) -- если кому интересно,
могу сделать небольшой обзор фронтиков и проблем по ним.
Из вошедшего в m-p 0.8.5:
- при REPORT=1 копия лога сборки дополнительно обрабатывается
с зачисткой большей части заведомо переменчивой информации,
так что их становится возможно осмысленно сравнивать diff(1)
(собственно, таким методом и был получен фикс в 0.8.4);
- в stage1 инсталяторов на базе alterator и в livecd с графикой
добавляется firmware-linux, т.к. без него у ряда видеодрайверов
нет шансов работать нормально с некоторыми видеочипами
(поймал на AMD C60 APU);
- в список пакетов xorg добавлен xorg-drv-modesetting, без которого
на нынешних ядрах грустнеет при работе с cirrus имени qemu/kvm
(спасибо boyarsh@ за подсказку).
...и ещё по мелочи.
