Я сделал набег в ноябре-декабре, но скорее разведочный.
Пока в приоритетах -- вывести mkimage-profiles на более
широко пригодный уровень и прошерстить installer-*,
там тоже накопилось наслоений.

...умеет и сам alternatives (там есть master/slave).
Кажется, при этом и прыжки branding-* при обновлениях
должны бы уйти в прошлое.
