Ну это у кого какие потребности - меня устраивает Стрим-Нео... А настройка
- независимо от ОС... по крайней мере у меня получилось (при условии,
конечно, что ADSL-модем будет LAN). Настраивается он через Вэб-интерфейс.
Дефолтные настройки меня не устраивали и я сделал так, чтобы при включении
питания модем сам своими внутренними силами "звонил" и соединялся, и давал
на сетевом выходе "готовые к употреблению" пакеты... Т.е. модем становится
своеобразным компом-роутером (внутри есть возможность организации NAT, в
некоторых моделях даже встроенный файрволл с фильтрацией по протоколам
(портам)). От компьютера требуется лишь настройка сетевого интерфейса
соотвтетствующим образом и прописание модема как gateway. ОС - без
разницы, лишь бы там была поддержка сети...
Можно конечно заделать "звонилки"... Но лично мне это не нравится...
