Так как являюсь давнишним подписчиком и читателем этого электронного
журнала, то воспринял очередную (и в этот раз удачную) попытку перейти от
зип-архива к chm весьма болезненно, и даже вступил было в полемику с
автором рассылки (кстати его аргументы перехода на этот не такой
"народный", как zip, формат меня так и не убедили)... Но вроде бы в эти же
дни в Сизифе появился спасительный пакет xChm. Я, естественно, тут же его
поставил... Проверил на chm-файлах от windows 2000, наших "доморощенных"
файлах (ЧАВО по 2к и ХР). Вроде работает... наши - чуть хуже (в дереве
слева - вопросит. знаки, справа в содержании все ОК), буржуйские - почти
как родные... Когда получил первый файл журнала IZone в формате chm -
ахнул... xChm вообще не смог его открыть - "xChm error - не могу, говорит
открыть..."... Посылал очередное письмо в "редакцию" IZone с просьбой
проверить качество создаваемого файла - без толку... Как тут быть? Может
сборка xChm не совсем удалась? Или IZon-щики виноваты?... ( у меня ALT
Linux Master 2.2)...
