Добился.. Я. Точнее, ничего особого не делал, все как обычно, наоборот,
отключал тот аутохинтинг, который был по умолчанию, ибо arial плох с ним.
Ведь теперь в нашей libfreetype, как оказалось, включен тот самый
пресловутый #define TT_CONFIG_OPTION_BYTECODE_INTERPRETER и много чего
другого интересного, я об этом не знал.. Кстати настройки антиалиасинга и
хинтинга вкупе с субпиксельными делами в КДЕ здорово влияют на системные
настройки, поэтому пришлось немного поколдовать с ними, чего раньше не
делал..
Вывод - сам по себе аутохинтинг неплох.. почти как в ХР, за исключением
шрифта Arial на вэб-страницах, из-за чего я все это отключил. Сглаживание
у меня присуствует, но шрифты узнаваемы и выглядят по начертанию так же,
как и вообще без всякого антиалиасинга.
