Ноутбук, свеже поставленный 4.1 альфа (но мне так кажется, что и в более
ранних версиях так же, в Сизифе точно так). Все по умолчанию. Запущен
Firefox.
Шрифты ужасные! В подтверждение слов -- картинка, фотография монитора
(чтоб не было разговоров про разницу между CRT и LCD).

Наклонные палочки у букв слишком жирные :( Расстояние между буквами
плавает, некоторые слова выглядят слишком разреженными.
А вот то же самое после вызова команды
fc-conf --hintstyle disable

Все буквы одинаковой толщины, и смотрятся гораздо лучше.
Возникает вопрос: не пора ли настроить умолчальные параметры для
отображения шрифтов на более приемлимые?
P.S. Разрешение монитора драйвер выставил в 114х115 dpi, что
соотвествует реальности (отношению размеров монитора в миллиметрах к
разрешению в точках).
